Dannil al'Fletch and his wife, Lisan Sedai of the Goshien Aiel.
These are the RPG characters of myself and my very good friend, Lisa. Dannil was an Asha'man from Caemlyn assigned to spy on one of the rebel Towers--The Tower of Hope--that cropped up after the breaking of the White Tower; there he met the young Aiel channeller, Lisan and the two quickly fell in love.
After the Red Ajah sisters at the Tower attempted to Gentle Dannil, he, Lisan, and several other Sisters fled to the Boarderlands where Dannil eventually gave in to the taint of Saidin. The Aes Sedai were able to Gentle Dannil, but not until after he had killed dozens in his madness. In an attempt to keep Dannil from giving into despair at being cut off from the One Power, Lisan, then a mere Accepted, bonded him as her Warder.
Though he no longer had a connection to Saidin, Dannil was still able to use ter'angreal, artifacts from the Age of Legends that allowed non-channellers to access the One Power; in the months after his gentling, Dannil discovered that he was a Wolfkin, a human being capable of communicating with the wolves.
Assured that the Reds who had tried to Gentle Dannil had been run out of the Tower, Dannil and Lisan returned to Hope where Lisan continued her training, eventually attaining the rank of Aes Sedai. The night of her raising, Dannil proposed to Lisan and the two were wed by the Tower's Amyrlin Seat. Though she is Aes Sedai and married to a wetlander, Lisan still has a close connection to her Aiel heretage, keeping the tradition of wearing the black veil whenever killing needs be done; she also refuses to so much as touch a sword. In respect for her feelings toward swords, Dannil had his sword melted down, its raw materials used to forge the blade of his halberd.
When the Dragon Reborn successfully cleansed tainted Saidin, Dannil had his ability to channel restored. Although he could now reclaim his place at the Black Tower as a fully-fledged Asha'man, Dannil chose to stay by Lisan as her Warder, though he still wears the Dragon and Sword pins of the Asha'man brotherhood despite his refusal to don the black.
