Well, I've finally made the big move to the promised land: Los Angeles. After years of yearning, I'm living in the City of Angels. And it has been raining constantly since I arrived. Funny enough, one of the things I thought I would miss about the midwest was the rain. Well... Anyway. It's lovely out here. I've fallen absolutely in love with Santa Monica, and try to spend at least one day a week at the beach. Golden Hour is simply magical here. The food is amazing, too. Well, work has been keeping me super busy. I'm currently producing a show called "The Screening Room" for the local PBS station--we show short films made by Illinois filmmakers, and I've been writing, directing, editing, and creating all the graphics for this show. As you might imagine, it's super time-consuming. But, I've done eleven episodes since August '13, and I'm getting into the groove. We have had some amazing films from some of the most talented young filmmakers I've ever seen. The Henningsen's Big Break--

Awesome news for my family! Earlier, in 2012, my cousins Aaron and Clara, and their dad, Brian Henningsen, signed a four-record deal with Artista Nashville. Their first single, "American Beautiful," debuted on country radio stations on December 17th and had the most first week adds for a debut country act IN HISTORY. No big surprise that there's a ton of buzz surrounding them, considering they wrote some of The Band Perry's biggest hits, "You Lie" and "All Your Life." Their full album will drop in the next couple months, but in the meantime, you can purchase "American Beautiful" on iTunes.
